Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Laion Social Club's goalkeeper Natal Arrieta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ubendu Loyas. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Natal Arrieta successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Natal Arrieta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ubendu Loyas in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Campano came free, but Guido Folgoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gilberto Cena fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s protests and gave Gilberto Cena a yellow card for diving instead. Gilberto Cena hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Natal Arrieta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Viado, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After some careless play in the ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► defense, Pere Torne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guido Folgoso. The ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guido Folgoso should have stopped the shot. Guido Folgoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pere Torne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ubendu Loyas hit a great ball. Renato Viado kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Mauro Otero scored 0-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guido Folgoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Guido Folgoso was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Zeledon Campano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zeledon Campano really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Shepherd Zayas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gervasio Castañeda in the 67 minute of the game. Natal Arrieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Viado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Renato Viado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Natal Arrieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Laion Social Club players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
