Sporting Buceo's Gaspar Verastegui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bibiano Alija in the 18th minute of play. Lorenzo Fuerte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Laffitte Rioz went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 27 played minutes Sporting Buceo got a freekick which was hit by Lobo Feliu. In the 30th minute, Mano Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 37 played minutes Sporting Buceo got a freekick which was hit by Mano Ramos. 39 minutes into the game, Angelo Carballal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Buceo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave I.A.S.A the free kick. In the 39th match minute, Sporting Buceo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Carballal to maneuver through the defense. Guido Arizabal kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Gaspar Verastegui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gora Pijuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 42 played minutes Sporting Buceo got a freekick which was hit by Lobo Feliu. Lorenzo Fuerte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laffitte Rioz in the 45th minute of the match. I.A.S.A's Lorenzo Fuerte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laffitte Rioz in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Sporting Buceo were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bibiano Alija stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Angelo Carballal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Sporting Buceo defense, Pirmin Merayo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaspar Verastegui. The Sporting Buceo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaspar Verastegui should have stopped the shot. Gora Pijuan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Sporting Buceo's Lobo Feliu got a free kick in the 61st minute. Mano Ramos might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lorenzo Fuerte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mano Ramos ran back to his position shaking his head. Laffitte Rioz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lorenzo Fuerte made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Angelo Carballal sent off a good shot on target. When Feliciano Trullols fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Buceo's protests and gave Feliciano Trullols a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd minute, one of Sporting Buceo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sporting Buceo. Sporting Buceo:s Gaspar Verastegui showed great skill when he stopped Bibiano Alija:s penalty. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sporting Buceo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 85th minute. Penalty! Gaspar Verastegui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Partearroyo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lucas Cepa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sporting Buceo's Gaspar Verastegui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Partearroyo in the 95th minute of play. Edgardo Partearroyo took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaspar Verastegui. Gaspar Verastegui dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2.
