SAN DIEGO's Goce Ignatovski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominik Majhenič in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Attila Hohnjec reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Goce Ignatovski. The goal made the score 1-0. The HIT Gorica fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when HIT Gorica's Attila Hohnjec looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaka Vinger in the 22nd minute of play forced SAN DIEGO's goalkeeper Goce Ignatovski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Attila Hohnjec scored 4-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Goce Ignatovski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Dominik Majhenič kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Goce Ignatovski. That made the score 5-0 in the 38 minute of play. In the 44th match minute, SAN DIEGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artan Sitnikovski to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Jaka Vinger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Goce Ignatovski was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Jaka Vinger sped through SAN DIEGO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Goce Ignatovski. If Jaka Vinger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Attila Hohnjec sped through SAN DIEGO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Goce Ignatovski. 66 minutes into the game, Spiridon Hajdini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SAN DIEGO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave HIT Gorica the free kick. The supporters of HIT Gorica booed when SAN DIEGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Spiridon Hajdini didn't get a good kick on the ball. SAN DIEGO's Goce Ignatovski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaka Vinger in the 69th minute of play. SAN DIEGO's Menduh Georgievski got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the game, HIT Gorica's Attila Hohnjec nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Goce Ignatovski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Goce Ignatovski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaka Vinger in the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th match minute, SAN DIEGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zoran Georgiev to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th match minute, HIT Gorica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gliša Bozja to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Gregor Trdina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee ended the match the HIT Gorica players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
