The Lipovljani fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leopold Bistrović should have stopped the shot. Vlaho Lengel hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Leopold Bistrović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kazimir Broz, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandi Majstor during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Goran Mahalec was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Mihovil Zorčić capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mihovil Zorčić really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 28th minute Vatroslav Štefanić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopold Bistrović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kazimir Broz's late challenge caught a Lipovljani's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. NK BRONZIN's Goran Mahalec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihovil Zorčić in the 43rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gašpar Selenički got free with Goran Mahalec in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, NK BRONZIN's Gabrijel Ordanić got a free kick in the 45th minute. With an all-out effort, Lipovljani's Goran Mahalec threw himself towards the right post 48 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mihovil Zorčić, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gabrijel Ordanić made a kick off. NK BRONZIN's Goran Mahalec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihovil Zorčić in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Lipovljani's goal looked a bit too open when Nikola Legenda came free, but Leopold Bistrović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute, Nikola Legenda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NK BRONZIN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Adolf Tepšić hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Frano Udovčić sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lipovljani's Leopold Bistrović didn't even have to move. Goran Mahalec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihovil Zorčić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Gašpar Selenički had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Goran Mahalec. NK BRONZIN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gašpar Selenički was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. 73 minutes into the game, Lipovljani's Gašpar Selenički nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Goran Mahalec made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Goran Mahalec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valter Slišković, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Goran Mahalec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zdenko Ravnić in the 86th minute of play. A collision led to NK BRONZIN getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihovil Zorčić in the 94th minute of play forced NK BRONZIN's goalkeeper Goran Mahalec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leopold Bistrović made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Kazimir Broz sent off a good shot on target. When the referee ended the match the Lipovljani players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
