Jeromos Bártfai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ottó Gyarmati in the 18th minute of play. István Földes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pál Bakos in the 22nd minute. Géza Sipos hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. István Földes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Csaba Kálmán in the 24th minute of the match. Csaba Kálmán received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pál Bakos's late challenge caught a Gyál United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pál Bakos helped the player get up and apologised.
