In the 2nd minute, Csaba Kuti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ottó Szigeti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from István Tulipán, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 5 minutes into the match, István Tulipán notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Várdomb's Ottó Szigeti. Ottó Szigeti was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 8th match minute, Várdomb was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lóránd Angyal to maneuver through the defense. After 13 minutes, István Tulipán made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Várdomb's Ottó Szigeti tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, Szajk LC's Ottó Szigeti threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from István Tulipán, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 19th minute, Balázs Kecskés hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 24 played minutes István Tulipán rounded Várdomb's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. After 26 minutes, Attila Váradi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Várdomb and the Szajk LC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th match minute, Várdomb was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Attila Váradi to maneuver through the defense. Ottó Szigeti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from István Tulipán in the 27th minute of the match. Ottó Szigeti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from István Tulipán, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 30 played minutes Szajk LC got a freekick which was hit by Ákos Szalontai. If Botond Bodor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Várdomb's Ottó Szigeti got control of the ball when István Tulipán tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling István Tulipán in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ottó Szigeti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Szajk LC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. István Tulipán hit a great ball. Elemér Pálffy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álmos Simon having to interfere. Emil Vörös was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 42 minutes into the match. Álmos Simon had in the 43rdth minute some difficulties stopping Kristóf Nagy's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ákos Szalontai to make the kick off. In the 62nd minute, Ákos Szalontai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ákos Szalontai scored 4-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ottó Szigeti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 70th match minute, Várdomb was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lóránd Angyal to maneuver through the defense. During the 73rd minute of the match Attila Váradi completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Attila Váradi a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Várdomb getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Attila Váradi hit a great ball. Álmos Simon made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Elemér Pálffy sent off a good shot on target. After 89 minutes Szajk LC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kristóf Nagy who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Szajk LC booed when Várdomb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elemér Pálffy didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Szajk LC had won after a very even match.
