The supporters of Szajk LC booed when SÉ SE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfréd Nyilasi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 4 minutes into the match, SÉ SE's goal looked a bit too open when István Tulipán came free, but Rómeó Kormos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th match minute, Szajk LC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Balázs Kecskés to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the game, Szajk LC's István Tulipán nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rómeó Kormos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 17thth minute of the game Ákos Szalontai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SÉ SE's Rómeó Kormos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th minute, SÉ SE's Norbert Rózsa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Norbert Veress scored 2-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Álmos Simon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 25 minutes into the game, Károly Takács was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SÉ SE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Szajk LC the free kick. If Viktor Sebes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. Norbert Veress had several of the Szajk LC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 45 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-1 score and a disappointed Álmos Simon as he didn't even see the shot coming.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ákos Szalontai made a kick off. Álmos Simon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Álmos Gyulai in the 52nd minute of play. Rómeó Kormos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ákos Szalontai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Norbert Veress's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Álmos Simon was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the Szajk LC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SÉ SE.
