Tomáš Lackovič made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Klempa in the 15th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, FC Kukova's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Toman came free, but Eugen Pataj reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eugen Pataj made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Bažík in the 30th minute. FC Kukova's Eugen Pataj proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save FC Kukova from getting a goal against them. After 37 minutes, Ján Kuric mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Kukova and the JuSi Malacky players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 37 played minutes FC Kukova got a freekick which was hit by Ján Kuric. A collision led to FC Kukova getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Ján Kuric hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Bažík in the 47th minute of play forced FC Kukova's goalkeeper Eugen Pataj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ján Kuric stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Ján Kuric lined in a short shot 0-1 behind a frustrated Tomáš Lackovič. After some careless play in the FC Kukova defense, Stanislav Hergot kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugen Pataj. The FC Kukova fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugen Pataj should have stopped the shot. With his leg Tomáš Lackovič managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when FC Kukova's Ján Kuric fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 70th minute Gabriel Toman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugen Pataj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, Pavol Čerňanský was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Kukova's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JuSi Malacky the free kick. Pavol Čerňanský hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivan Bažík in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugen Pataj prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eugen Pataj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Bažík, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Tomáš Lackovič took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Klempa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tibor Hurban was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 81 minutes into the match. After 81 played minutes FC Kukova got a freekick which was hit by Tibor Hurban. Gabriel Toman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. FC Kukova's Eugen Pataj played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanislav Hergot in the 84th minute of play. Eugen Pataj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Bažík, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Stanislav Hergot scored 2-2 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eugen Pataj, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The FC Kukova players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented JuSi Malacky from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
