A collision led to AFK Petržalka getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Klement Dupal hit a great ball. After 6 minutes, Tibor Barmoš made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Feyenoord Malinovo's Michal Kríž tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of AFK Petržalka booed when Feyenoord Malinovo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Petrov didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in AFK Petržalka's zone, Filip Koceľa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Adamčík came out of the goal and Filip Koceľa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filip Koceľa in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ivan Adamčík, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tibor Barmoš in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michal Kríž saved Feyenoord Malinovo from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Tibor Barmoš put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Michal Kríž. A collision led to AFK Petržalka getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Miroslav Brezník hit a great ball. Jakub Mitro struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Ivan Adamčík didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Feyenoord Malinovo. After having played for 41 minutes, Ján Válka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Feyenoord Malinovo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ján Válka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ján Válka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ivan Adamčík tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filip Koceľa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Ivan Adamčík skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.

Michal Kríž made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tibor Barmoš in the 54th minute. In the 55th match minute, AFK Petržalka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miroslav Brezník to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filip Koceľa in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Adamčík saved AFK Petržalka from getting behind. In the 59th minute, Ivan Kaľavský hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Klement Dupal kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. AFK Petržalka's Ivan Adamčík played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Koceľa in the 68th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tibor Barmoš got free with Michal Kríž in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. AFK Petržalka's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Miroslav Brezník in the 74th minute. The corner led to AFK Petržalka's Gabriel Trenčan getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 76 minutes of play Feyenoord Malinovo's Peter Petrov was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 77th match minute, Feyenoord Malinovo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Petrov to maneuver through the defense. Michal Kríž made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tibor Barmoš in the 79th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tibor Barmoš in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michal Kríž prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Michal Kríž showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klement Dupal, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Michal Kríž made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miroslav Brezník in the 90th minute. When the final whistle went the supporters of AFK Petržalka were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Feyenoord Malinovo side.
