Martin Kliment's late challenge caught a V.K.DRINK Hermanovce's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Kliment helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of V.K.DRINK Hermanovce booed when Villarreal FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Kliment didn't get a good kick on the ball. V.K.DRINK Hermanovce's Ondrej Hnilica got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vladimír Farný charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Daniel Vengloš made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Richard Bodnár scored 1-4 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marián Vrabec, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Villarreal FK's Daniel Stanislav got a free kick in the 41st minute. The Villarreal FK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. V.K.DRINK Hermanovce were winning 1-4.

The wind increased when Mário Dubinský made the kick off in the second half. Michal Hanuščak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Marián Vrabec made a huge save. Michal Hanuščak received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marián Vrabec came out and tried to block the shot, but Michal Hanuščak slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 57th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Richard Bodnár managed to get in a good position for a shot. V.K.DRINK Hermanovce's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Bodnár was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marián Vrabec breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th match minute, Villarreal FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miroslav Vozár to maneuver through the defense. Villarreal FK's Marián Vrabec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Dubinský in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute Stanislav Stupala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Vengloš saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Eugen Klingáčik cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Villarreal FK's goal looked a bit too open when Michal Hanuščak came free, but Marián Vrabec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Villarreal FK's goalkeeper Marián Vrabec had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mário Dubinský. In the 92nd minute, V.K.DRINK Hermanovce's Richard Bodnár ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marián Vrabec. Marián Vrabec yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-6. Ondrej Hnilica hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Stanislav Stupala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. V.K.DRINK Hermanovce's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
