After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Kayacan İley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palestine's supporters rose to their feet, but Kayacan İley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Menderes Şükrü breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute, Palestine's Önder Sıraç dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kutluay Işıldar got free with Menderes Şükrü in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kutluay Işıldar made a kick off. Menderes Şükrü showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Kaan Fişek, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute, Ali Kaan Fişek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Menderes Şükrü was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When Önder Sıraç came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Palestine fans jumped to their feet.
