Ergin İlkan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zülfü Acunman, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Ergin İlkan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Habib Mennan went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Habib Mennan scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ergin İlkan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pirates of Black Sea's Hadi Oğuralp managed to work through Navigators's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Hadi Oğuralp dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Yavuz Bülent Ilgın made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Arif Nihat Ersayın sent off a good shot on target. Ergin İlkan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alkan Başaydın in the 25th minute of the match. The supporters of Navigators booed when Pirates of Black Sea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. İdris Fişek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mehmet Halis Işıklı took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ergin İlkan. Pirates of Black Sea's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Pirates of Black Sea's Ergin İlkan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alkan Başaydın in the 30th minute of play. Burhanettin Haseki kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Pirates of Black Sea's goal looked a bit too open when Alkan Başaydın came free, but Ergin İlkan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ergin İlkan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zülfü Acunman in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hadi Oğuralp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mehmet Halis Işıklı hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute of the match Tolga Sebil sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yavuz Bülent Ilgın skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atalan Necdet in the 58th minute of play forced Navigators's goalkeeper Yavuz Bülent Ilgın to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Pirates of Black Sea. Tolga Sebil stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Yavuz Bülent Ilgın. 1-2. Zülfü Acunman kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes, Pirates of Black Sea's Tolga Sebil shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Yavuz Bülent Ilgın came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pirates of Black Sea reached it. Habib Mennan kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Ergin İlkan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alkan Başaydın, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zülfü Acunman kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. The supporters of Pirates of Black Sea booed when Navigators was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Habib Mennan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ergin İlkan made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Alkan Başaydın sent off a good shot on target. Ergin İlkan came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Navigators's Alkan Başaydın. But to his dismay, Alkan Başaydın quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The Navigators supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Navigators would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
