An unexpectedly hard shot by Gökalp Berksan in the 33rd minute of play forced Büyükada Commandos's goalkeeper Erdeniz Ankaralı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Garip Üzer made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's Gökalp Berksan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erdeniz Ankaralı narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Korhan Yahya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hakkı Onur Eryiğit in the 57th minute of the match. Baran Alp İhsan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Korhan Yahya having to interfere. The supporters of Büyükada Commandos booed when Trabzonspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Muhammet Özinal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Korhan Yahya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tolunay Olcay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 84 minutes, Garip Üzer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trabzonspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Garip Üzer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
