Ahmet Hayri Eryilmaz made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Anıl Arda Zeren sent off a good shot on target. Anıl Arda Zeren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Ahmet Hayri Eryilmaz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sufi Tayguner's late challenge caught a FC Montana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sufi Tayguner helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute, Rıfkı Tanpınar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rıfkı Tanpınar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gazi Gencer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rıfkı Tanpınar in the 16th minute of the match. Gazi Gencer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yavuz Selimhan Açıkel in the 18th minute of play. Ahmet Hayri Eryilmaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atakan Cebir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Şensoy Usun made in the 24th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gençlerbirliği's Dursun Ali Özluer. After a rather tough play, Gençlerbirliği's Güner Tarancı got a free kick in the 26th minute. After 27 played minutes, FC Montana's Fazlı Uğursoy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ahmet Hayri Eryilmaz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Montana reached it. Cüneyd Umman's late challenge caught a FC Montana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. After a rather tough play, Gençlerbirliği's Cüneyd Umman got a free kick in the 38th minute. Ahmet Hayri Eryilmaz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 39th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Fazlı Uğursoy. The FC Montana players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gençlerbirliği were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anıl Arda Zeren was the one to do the kick off. İstemihan Kumanbay made in the 56th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Fazlı Uğursoy however managed to control. 59 minutes into the game, FC Montana's Anıl Arda Zeren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ahmet Hayri Eryilmaz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Anıl Arda Zeren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ahmet Hayri Eryilmaz having to make a save. Ahmet Hayri Eryilmaz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anıl Arda Zeren went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 66 minutes in the game İstemihan Kumanbay did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Fazlı Uğursoy. During the 66th minute of the match Sufi Tayguner completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sufi Tayguner a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 67 played minutes Gençlerbirliği got a freekick which was hit by Sufi Tayguner. Ahmet Hayri Eryilmaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Süruri Ethem in the 72nd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Gençlerbirliği's goal looked a bit too open when Anıl Arda Zeren came free, but Ahmet Hayri Eryilmaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Gençlerbirliği defense, Anıl Arda Zeren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ahmet Hayri Eryilmaz. The Gençlerbirliği fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ahmet Hayri Eryilmaz should have stopped the shot. Atakan Cebir succeeded in the game's 79th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-1. Gazi Gencer made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Rıfkı Tanpınar sent off a good shot on target. 90 minutes into the match, Gençlerbirliği's goal looked a bit too open when Anıl Arda Zeren came free, but Ahmet Hayri Eryilmaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Süruri Ethem left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Montana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. When the referee ended the match the FC Montana players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
