The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bektaş Ali Tolun's late challenge caught a H E P T A N's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bektaş Ali Tolun helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC GG's Bektaş Ali Tolun got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind H E P T A N's goalkeeper Ahmet İlhan Kırman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Orhan Seyfi Kotuzhan came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by H E P T A N's Soner Durusan. But to his dismay, Soner Durusan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 15th minute, Sungur Karaoğlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Soner Durusan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. H E P T A N's Sungur Karaoğlan got his second yellow card of the match in the 22nd minute. The referee ordered Sungur Karaoğlan off the ground. After a rather tough play, FC GG's Vahap Kağan got a free kick in the 26th minute. After some careless play in the FC GG defense, Soner Durusan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Orhan Seyfi Kotuzhan. The FC GG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Orhan Seyfi Kotuzhan should have stopped the shot. Orhan Seyfi Kotuzhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efe Aktaş in the 37th minute of play. Orhan Seyfi Kotuzhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Soner Durusan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th match minute, H E P T A N was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efe Aktaş to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Soner Durusan managed to get in a good position for a shot. H E P T A N's supporters rose to their feet, but Soner Durusan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orhan Seyfi Kotuzhan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Soner Durusan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ahmet İlhan Kırman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lütfü Sönmez, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, H E P T A N's Volkan Mürşit got a free kick in the 56th minute. 63 minutes into the game, Lütfü Sönmez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ahmet İlhan Kırman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 66 minutes into the game, Tansu Zafir was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. H E P T A N's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC GG the free kick. In the 66th minute, Tansu Zafir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Soner Durusan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Soner Durusan struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Orhan Seyfi Kotuzhan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for H E P T A N. Yusuf Mutluhan kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. When H E P T A N's Soner Durusan in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC GG's goalie prevented a goal.
