The supporters of Clapham Comets F.C. booed when Egg Chasers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Whieldon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute of the game, Brendon Bale landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 60 minutes into the game, Lee Bannatyne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Egg Chasers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clapham Comets F.C. the free kick. After a rather tough play, Egg Chasers FC's Lee Bannatyne got a free kick in the 61st minute. The audience was convinced that Matthew Brookman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lee Kerr was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. In the 72ndth minute of the game Matthew Brookman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clapham Comets F.C.'s Lee Kerr was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 74th minute Egg Chasers FC were awarded a corner. Kenny Duckworth went to the cornerflag to take it. Gogo Llorienzo thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Lee Kerr, a very annoying self made goal in the 74th minute which led to 1-1. After 76 played minutes Egg Chasers FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonny Wilkinson. Paijo Prima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Fabien Barthez made a huge save. In the 81st minute Cumhur Tanacan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabien Barthez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Clapham Comets F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
