Hannes Sandwall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Syd Ely in the 5th minute of the match. Angelo Melani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Gol in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelo Melani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oscar Drake got free with Angelo Melani in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fraser Barkley during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Leicester Foxes Academy booed when Whitypool United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fraser Barkley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martin Ericsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Leicester Foxes Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Charis Vlastaras came free, but Hannes Sandwall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 played minutes Whitypool United got a freekick which was hit by Anan Fachrurozi. Charis Vlastaras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charis Vlastaras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute, Colin Carr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charis Vlastaras kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After 47 played minutes Leicester Foxes Academy got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Björkkvist. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oscar Drake to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fraser Barkley got free with Hannes Sandwall in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angelo Melani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Gol in the 62nd minute of play. Leicester Foxes Academy's Peter Pennant was substituted for Oscar Drake. After 66 played minutes Whitypool United got a freekick which was hit by Syd Ely. Charis Vlastaras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Hannes Sandwall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Whitypool United's Stevie Moore was substituted for Syd Ely. Angelo Melani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Young in the 76th minute of the match. In the 86th match minute, Whitypool United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graciano Caneira to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Whitypool United's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Pennant came free, but Angelo Melani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waclaw Kaczanek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hannes Sandwall having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Leicester Foxes Academy players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
