Benjamin Cuss made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Benji Corby sent off a good shot on target. Isaac Prutton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olimpiu Dragnea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Goo Goo Dolls's Benjamin Cuss proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Goo Goo Dolls from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute, Dom Rusby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dylan Pearce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Goo Goo Dolls's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dylan Pearce was slow to take the kick. During this time Dorking United FC's players had a chance to rest. Steve Boulding tried in the game's 16th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Benjamin Cuss. An annoying self made goal, 1-0. In the 20th minute of the match, Sean Hollingsworth tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benjamin Cuss saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 26th minute Cacá Mangione shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Prutton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaac Prutton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cacá Mangione in the 27th minute of play. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dorking United FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Olimpiu Dragnea was slow to take the kick. During this time Goo Goo Dolls's players had a chance to rest. Abraham Ainge thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Isaac Prutton, a very annoying self made goal in the 35th minute which led to 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sean Hollingsworth in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benjamin Cuss saved Goo Goo Dolls from getting behind. Benjamin Cuss was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Zack Bye capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zack Bye really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Goo Goo Dolls's Olimpiu Dragnea got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zack Bye stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Goo Goo Dolls's Gerry Greenfield got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Isaac Prutton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cacá Mangione in the 55th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Olimpiu Dragnea got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Isaac Prutton quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Benjamin Cuss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zack Bye, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Isaac Prutton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Lane in the 64th minute of play. Dorking United FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Felix Lane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Dorking United FC booed when Goo Goo Dolls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Lane didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute Sean Hollingsworth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Cuss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 minutes of play, Dorking United FC's Sean Hollingsworth made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benjamin Cuss was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dorking United FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
