After 9 minutes of play, Garlic Eaters's Fitz Lambley made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jerome Canning was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jerome Canning took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jasper Attwood, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Witney City's Jerome Canning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jasper Attwood in the 14th minute of play. Witney City's attentive Andre Nethercott managed to snatch the ball when Joel Afful made a throw-in in the 16th minute of the game. Nikolay Bonkov was a little too slow when Andre Nethercott got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-1. Witney City's Jerome Canning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justin Collingwood in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Witney City's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Hanley came free, but Jerome Canning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jerome Canning showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justin Collingwood in the 22nd minute of the match. Witney City's Jerome Canning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fitz Lambley in the 23rd minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Joel Afful threw the ball into play from the sideline. Witney City's Gercho Bozhev quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, Garlic Eaters's Gerry Cheeseman got a free kick in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justin Collingwood in the 40th minute of play forced Witney City's goalkeeper Jerome Canning to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

A sloppy throw-in by Joel Afful in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Witney City's Andre Nethercott. A collision led to Garlic Eaters getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Pavol Stano hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Witney City's goal looked a bit too open when Jasper Attwood came free, but Jerome Canning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st match minute, Garlic Eaters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justin Collingwood to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Witney City's Andre Nethercott got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Jerome Canning showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Hanley in the 67th minute of the match. With a little luck, Witney City's Jerome Canning got control of the ball when Fitz Lambley tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fitz Lambley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Jerome Canning made a huge save. When Justin Collingwood fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garlic Eaters's protests and gave Justin Collingwood a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Witney City booed when Garlic Eaters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justin Collingwood didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jerome Canning made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jasper Attwood in the 79th minute of play. Garlic Eaters's Nikolay Bonkov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rio Best in the 82nd minute of play. In the 86th minute, Witney City's Igor Kyulafliyski seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Igor Kyulafliyski the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Witney City protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Igor Kyulafliyski had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of Witney City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Garlic Eaters:s goal. Gerry Cheeseman hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Tim Hurren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Justin Collingwood could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Jerome Canning made a huge save. Jerome Canning showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jasper Attwood, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
