Spectators: 175 (Terracing: 132, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Grzegorz Piechna started the match with the kick off. Arrows Academy FC's Larry Ferrell got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Larry Ferrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Deacon having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Idacio Ballejos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ged Nightingale was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. After 12 minutes Mayo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Grzegorz Piechna who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Mayo's Arlindo Trevisan got a free kick in the 15th minute. Marcus Deacon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marty Simpson in the 19th minute of the match. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arrows Academy FC's goalkeeper Ged Nightingale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ged Nightingale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Idacio Ballejos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mayo's Marcus Deacon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grzegorz Piechna in the 29th minute of play. Harri Kaine could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Ged Nightingale made a huge save. Johnnie Osbourn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ged Nightingale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Grzegorz Piechna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcus Deacon was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. If Larry Ferrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcus Deacon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grzegorz Piechna in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Idacio Ballejos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ged Nightingale was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcus Deacon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grzegorz Piechna in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Marty Simpson had several of the Mayo's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 52 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Marcus Deacon as he didn't even see the shot coming. Pacho Quintianan's late challenge caught a Mayo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pacho Quintianan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th minute, Pacho Quintianan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute of the match Evelio Goren shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ged Nightingale showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ged Nightingale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Idacio Ballejos, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Marty Simpsons short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Marcus Deacon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ged Nightingale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Idacio Ballejos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grzegorz Piechna might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcus Deacon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Grzegorz Piechna ran back to his position shaking his head. 68 minutes into the match, Mayo's goal looked a bit too open when David Stenkvist came free, but Marcus Deacon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Larry Ferrell dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcus Deacon, 1-2. Mayo made a substitution. Steve Oliver replaced Evelio Goren. An unexpected shot in the 76th minute by Larry Ferrell got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 80th minute, Mayo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Marty Simpson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 81 minutes into the match, Mayo's goalkeeper Marcus Deacon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marty Simpson. Steve Oliver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amílton Siqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Marcus Deacon came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Arrows Academy FC's Grzegorz Piechna. But to his dismay, Grzegorz Piechna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Grzegorz Piechna kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 94thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Mayo's keeper Marcus Deacon was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 95th minute Arrows Academy FC were awarded a corner. Grzegorz Piechna went to the cornerflag to take it.
