In the 13th minute Steve Oliver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wei Bing Ran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Real Chelsea's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Johnnie Osbourn was slow to take the kick. During this time Mayo's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Mayo's corner Johnnie Osbourn fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wei Bing Ran quite easily take care of the ball. After 15 played minutes Real Chelsea got a freekick which was hit by Timothy Thorne. In the 16th minute, Patrick Robins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute Patrick Robins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wei Bing Ran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Idacio Ballejos put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Wei Bing Ran. An unexpectedly hard shot by Idacio Ballejos in the 24th minute of play forced Real Chelsea's goalkeeper Wei Bing Ran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Timothy Thorne made a precise shot to the right of Marcus Deacon. Mayo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After having played for 32 minutes, Idacio Ballejos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mayo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Idacio Ballejos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Idacio Ballejos in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wei Bing Ran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes into the match, Timothy Thorne dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcus Deacon, 2-2. Marcus Deacon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timothy Thorne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wei Bing Ran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Oliver in the 43rd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Idacio Ballejos put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Wei Bing Ran. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Marcus Deacon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timothy Thorne, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The Mayo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Deacon should have stopped the shot. Real Chelsea made a substitution. Gordon Winfield replaced Uno Klemensson. Marcus Deacon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tyler Tolley, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 83 minutes into the match, Real Chelsea's goal looked a bit too open when Will Porter came free, but Wei Bing Ran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th match minute, Real Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braulio Abel to maneuver through the defense. Mayo made a substitution. Harri Kaine replaced Idacio Ballejos.
