Alisson Becker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Themos Leontiadis in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Panionios MK were awarded a corner. Argyris Ksagorarakis went to the cornerflag to take it. Erik Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raf Vermaelen in the 19th minute of play. Ata Bircan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erik Vale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Erik Vale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ata Bircan's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, Panionios MK's Antonis Linardakis got a free kick in the 27th minute. A collision led to Panionios MK getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Antonis Linardakis hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ata Bircan in the 30th minute of play forced Panionios MK's goalkeeper Erik Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match, Allan Corrigan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alisson Becker was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ata Bircan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erik Vale having to make a save. Erik Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ata Bircan in the 34th minute of the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Themos Leontiadis was the one to do the kick off. Ata Bircan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ata Bircan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Erik Vale made a huge save. Alisson Becker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Themos Leontiadis in the 59th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Cesare Maldini in the 64th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Panionios MK's Kyriakos Akrivoulis. Raf Vermaelen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Erik Vale when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ata Bircan got free with Erik Vale in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erik Vale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ata Bircan in the 67th minute. With his leg Erik Vale managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Liverpool F.C. YNWA's Raf Vermaelen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Panionios MK getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Dimosthenis Ploumoudis hit a great ball. Liverpool F.C. YNWA's Panos Zounis was substituted for Mario Napolitano. After 78 played minutes Panionios MK got a freekick which was hit by Dimosthenis Ploumoudis. Tilemachos Romanidis might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erik Vale. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tilemachos Romanidis ran back to his position shaking his head. 82 minutes into the match, Panionios MK's goal looked a bit too open when Tilemachos Romanidis came free, but Erik Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Tytus Lichucki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liverpool F.C. YNWA's supporters rose to their feet, but Tytus Lichucki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erik Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raf Vermaelen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Erik Vale skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Erik Vale was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Raf Vermaelen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 89 minute of play. Liverpool F.C. YNWA's Panos Zounis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dimosthenis Ploumoudis in the 92 minute of the game. In the 93rd minute, Liverpool F.C. YNWA's Tilemachos Romanidis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Erik Vale. Erik Vale yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. The Liverpool F.C. YNWA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Liverpool F.C. YNWA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
