Merexildo Raimundo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andreas Kousoulakis having to make a save. Panos Ntountas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tolis Prinianakis having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, GREEN LIONS's goalkeeper Tolis Prinianakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Panos Ntountas. In the 27th minute Calisto Flayre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Kousoulakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andreas Kousoulakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benny Hill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olympiacos FC's attentive Konstantinos Meletiou managed to snatch the ball when 狄正希 made a throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game. Dimitris Koudas hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Tolis Prinianakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympiacos FC. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Panos Ntountas was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, GREEN LIONS's goal looked a bit too open when Panos Ntountas came free, but Tolis Prinianakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Panos Ntountas came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Olympiacos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panos Ntountas couldn't finish the play. Olympiacos FC made a substitution. Soulis Partalis replaced Panos Ntountas. During this time GREEN LIONS's players had a chance to rest. If Soulis Partalis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Calisto Flayre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andreas Kousoulakis was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. GREEN LIONS played a much better game than Olympiacos FC and deserved their victory. The Olympiacos FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
