Emanuel Enoiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Landero in the 6th minute. Ilias Seichanidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonidas Tseberlidis in the 9th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Leonidas Tseberlidis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilias Seichanidis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Augusto Landero managed to get in a good position for a shot. ΟΦΗ's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Landero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Enoiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emanuel Enoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apostolis Kalopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Apostolis Kalopoulos struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Emanuel Enoiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ΟΦΗ. 24 minutes into the game, one of MELATES F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Emanuel Enoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apostolis Kalopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, MELATES F.C.'s goalkeeper Emanuel Enoiu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nasos Papadis. Ilias Seichanidis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexis McAllister's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Landero in the 35th minute of play forced MELATES F.C.'s goalkeeper Emanuel Enoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the ΟΦΗ defense, Leonidas Tseberlidis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilias Seichanidis. The ΟΦΗ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilias Seichanidis should have stopped the shot. Alkis Kalipolitis kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. A collision led to MELATES F.C. getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Leonidas Tseberlidis hit a great ball. ΟΦΗ's Akis Karaoulanis was substituted for Babbis Theodorakakos. After 49 played minutes MELATES F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Leonidas Tseberlidis. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Nasos Papadis made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nasos Papadis in the 53rd minute of play forced MELATES F.C.'s goalkeeper Emanuel Enoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Nasos Papadis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Enoiu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nafiz Hafızoğlu in the 67th minute of play forced ΟΦΗ's goalkeeper Ilias Seichanidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Nafiz Hafızoğlu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ilias Seichanidis. That made the score 2-3 in the 72 minute of play. Ilias Seichanidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nafiz Hafızoğlu in the 77th minute of the match. With a little luck, ΟΦΗ's Ilias Seichanidis got control of the ball when Leonidas Tseberlidis tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to ΟΦΗ getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. In the 96th minute Nasos Papadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Enoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched MELATES F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
