Sheriff's Yahia van der Saar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonidas Tseberlidis in the 5th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Nafiz Hafızoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Damaso Xacintu succeeded in the game's 10th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. If Clayton Gol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Damaso Xacintu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Enoiu having to make a save. After some careless play in the MELATES F.C. defense, Clayton Gol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuel Enoiu. The MELATES F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Enoiu should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clayton Gol in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Enoiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A throw-in in the 27th minute of the game was made by Alkis Kalipolitis with Alexis McAllister as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 30 minutes into the match, MELATES F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Clayton Gol came free, but Emanuel Enoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 minutes of play, Sheriff's Clayton Gol made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuel Enoiu was left in no man's land by his defense there! 35 minutes into the game, Clayton Gol cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Emanuel Enoiu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 39 minutes into the match, Sheriff's Clayton Gol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuel Enoiu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Clayton Gol made a precise shot to the right of Emanuel Enoiu. MELATES F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Emanuel Enoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damaso Xacintu in the 41st minute of the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clayton Gol to make the kick off. Emanuel Enoiu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. A collision led to MELATES F.C. getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Nikos Nikitaras hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sheriff had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
