The audience thought a goal was coming when Nial Peyton got free with Zisis Pnevmatikatos in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute Konstantinos Tsitsanis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zisis Pnevmatikatos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zisis Pnevmatikatos made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Panos Tsabis sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Gozilla's Michalis Makridakis got a free kick in the 20th minute. Zisis Pnevmatikatos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nial Peyton in the 21st minute. Zisis Pnevmatikatos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nial Peyton, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After 39 played minutes Gozilla got a freekick which was hit by Kostas Koutsis. In the 42nd minute, Gozilla's Kostas Koutsis seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kostas Koutsis the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gozilla protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kostas Koutsis had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 42nd minute, one of Gozilla:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gozilla. In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Kolopetinitsa. Panagiotis Kaliasis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Zisis Pnevmatikatos. 2-1. 47 minutes into the match, Nial Peyton dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zisis Pnevmatikatos, 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nial Peyton to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panos Tsabis in the 60th minute of play forced Gozilla's goalkeeper Zisis Pnevmatikatos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Theagenis Theodorakoglou ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zisis Pnevmatikatos was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1.
