Poli Timisoara were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after TIGER's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Çağdaş Yuvakuran took the corner. Poli Timisoara's Çağdaş Yuvakuran was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dida Vasconcelos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 10 minutes into the match, TIGER's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Primeiro came free, but Dida Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ovidiu Adrian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christoph Hambloch in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute of the match Poli Timisoara got a corner. TIGER's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Çağdaş Yuvakuran ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 15 played minutes Poli Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Primeiro. In the 18th minute Julien-Nils Trede shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Sascha Kulovitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 20 minutes, Robert Stecher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TIGER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Stecher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tom-Lukas Rockstein during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Poli Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom-Lukas Rockstein to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Poli Timisoara booed when TIGER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ralf Schranz didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, TIGER's Dida Vasconcelos got control of the ball when Julien-Nils Trede tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Bastian Schreyer fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TIGER's protests and gave Bastian Schreyer a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, TIGER's Bastian Schreyer got a free kick in the 26th minute. Dario Mero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ovidiu Adrian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Blom in the 37th minute of play. Dida Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiger De Hond in the 39th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Börje Blom made a kick off. A collision led to TIGER getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Christoph Hambloch hit a great ball. Julien-Nils Trede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Börje Blom came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the TIGER fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Börje Blom couldn't finish the play. Christoph Hambloch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. TIGER's Dida Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julien-Nils Trede in the 57th minute of play. Dida Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heiko Kalish in the 68th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Börje Blom got free with Ovidiu Adrian in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 70th minute, TIGER's Börje Blom dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Primeiro in the 73rd minute of play forced TIGER's goalkeeper Dida Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, TIGER's Börje Blom got a free kick in the 76th minute. If Mauro Primeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The corner ended in Christoph Hambloch almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Poli Timisoara's Ovidiu Adrian did a great save. Dida Vasconcelos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Çağdaş Yuvakuran went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 93rdth minute of the game Julien-Nils Trede who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TIGER's Dida Vasconcelos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dida Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Primeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Poli Timisoara were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing TIGER to leave the ground with a draw.
