In the 10th minute, Ignacio Alvarez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GARGOYLES fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, FC MANEKENI CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Alvarez came free, but Alfonso Leoncio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andoni Zubizarreta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guaberto Jorrin in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Alvarez in the 20th minute of play forced FC MANEKENI CLUB's goalkeeper Alfonso Leoncio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andoni Zubizarreta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guaberto Jorrin in the 21st minute of play. Andoni Zubizarreta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Sedzikowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Herbert Sedzikowski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC MANEKENI CLUB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Slavyan Mechkuev took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Alfonso Leoncio to make any attempt to save it. When GARGOYLES's Ignacio Alvarez in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC MANEKENI CLUB's goalie prevented a goal. 39 minutes into the game, FC MANEKENI CLUB's Herbert Sedzikowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andoni Zubizarreta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Andoni Zubizarreta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Sedzikowski in the 43rd minute of the match. After 44 played minutes FC MANEKENI CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Traian Nanu. Naycho Dotzov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alfonso Leoncio. FC MANEKENI CLUB's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ignacio Alvarez made a kick off. Alfonso Leoncio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Alvarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Valko Nanyov hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Mavrudi Barúmov reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Andoni Zubizarreta. The goal made the score 2-3. Herbert Sedzikowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andoni Zubizarreta having to interfere. After some careless play in the FC MANEKENI CLUB defense, Valko Nanyov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfonso Leoncio. The FC MANEKENI CLUB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfonso Leoncio should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Alvarez in the 68th minute of play forced FC MANEKENI CLUB's goalkeeper Alfonso Leoncio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tim Klack was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Alfonso Leoncio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Alvarez in the 78th minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, FC MANEKENI CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Slavyan Mechkuev came free, but Alfonso Leoncio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfonso Leoncio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Slavyan Mechkuev in the 90th minute of the match. Alfonso Leoncio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valko Nanyov in the 93rd minute of play. FC MANEKENI CLUB's Alfonso Leoncio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Alvarez in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute Ignacio Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Leoncio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
