In the 4th minute, Heino Helkamo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Savon Palloseura's Lasse Saarelainen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Voitto Nyrhinen in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Voitto Nyrhinen in the 11th minute of play forced Savon Palloseura's goalkeeper Lasse Saarelainen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lasse Saarelainen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Voitto Nyrhinen's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Lasse Saarelainen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heino Helkamo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heino Helkamo in the 20th minute of play forced Savon Palloseura's goalkeeper Lasse Saarelainen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Heino Helkamo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lasse Saarelainen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Savon Palloseura's Lasse Saarelainen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toni Fabich in the 30th minute of play. Voitto Nyrhinen struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Lasse Saarelainen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palloketut. Lasse Saarelainen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Fabich in the 35th minute of the match. Lasse Saarelainen came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Palloketut's Voitto Nyrhinen. But to his dismay, Voitto Nyrhinen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Ciriaco Ferrando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lasse Saarelainen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toni Fabich, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Savon Palloseura's goal looked a bit too open when Voitto Nyrhinen came free, but Lasse Saarelainen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rikhard Elomo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lasse Saarelainen having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Savon Palloseura's goal looked a bit too open when Voitto Nyrhinen came free, but Lasse Saarelainen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Palloketut were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Toni Fabich made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Ali Ruohiainen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palloketut's supporters rose to their feet, but Ali Ruohiainen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lasse Saarelainen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yan Chong Sen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Gaxan's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. The audience was convinced that Markus Pakaslahti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yan Chong Sen was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 58th minute Heino Helkamo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lasse Saarelainen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Voitto Nyrhinen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Valdemar Kallio ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 88th minute, Romelu Lukaku hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute, Ali Ruohiainen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Palloketut could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Savon Palloseura throughout the match.
