Porvoon Futura's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Fabricio Quintan scored to the left of an out of position Francesco Toldo, making the score, 1-0. Paavali Paatelainen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paavo Hirvonen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Co Vid got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Co Vid recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francesco Toldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teppo Kallioniemi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Co Vid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paavali Paatelainen having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Porvoon Futura's Co Vid nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paavali Paatelainen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Fabricio Quintan in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Francesco Toldo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Fabricio Quintan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francesco Toldo was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Porvoon Futura's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eemeli Myllylä was slow to take the kick. During this time Galand FC's players had a chance to rest. Galand FC's Eemeli Myllylä was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Francesco Toldo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Porvoon Futura's Co Vid got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Porvoon Futura's Francesco Toldo got control of the ball when Salomo Laukka tried to sneak it across the goal line. Francesco Toldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teppo Kallioniemi in the 42nd minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Co Vid made a kick off. Porvoon Futura's Francesco Toldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabricio Quintan in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorel Crivoi in the 52nd minute of play forced Porvoon Futura's goalkeeper Francesco Toldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute of the match Porvoon Futura got a corner. Galand FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Henrik Höijer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Paavo Hirvonen was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Francesco Toldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Quintan in the 61st minute of play. After having played for 64 minutes, Fabricio Quintan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galand FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabricio Quintan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 69 minutes Porvoon Futura's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eemeli Myllylä who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Galand FC's corner Eemeli Myllylä fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Francesco Toldo quite easily take care of the ball. In the 71st minute Teppo Kallioniemi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francesco Toldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute of the match Galand FC got a corner. Porvoon Futura's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Porvoon Futura's Vladimir Haritonov was substituted for Kol Miot. Porvoon Futura were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Galand FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Henrik Höijer took the corner. The corner led Porvoon Futura's Henrik Höijer to fire away a dangerous shot which Paavali Paatelainen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Francesco Toldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorel Crivoi in the 92nd minute of play.
