Rafael Heintz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Mansilha in the 4th minute of the match. TSV Delliehausen's Rafael Heintz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lutz Golke in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joachim Kretschmer in the 26th minute of play forced TSV Delliehausen's goalkeeper Rafael Heintz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elvis Töpfer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Paul Heyckendorf made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Alex Mansilha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academica Pulheim's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Mansilha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Heintz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. One of TSV Delliehausen:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Academica Pulheim:s goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alex Mansilha was the one to do the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Jean-Marc Debut who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academica Pulheim's Paul Heyckendorf was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 54 minutes into the match, TSV Delliehausen's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Mansilha came free, but Rafael Heintz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Mansilha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafael Heintz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maxime Vrints in the 60th minute of the match. Paul Heyckendorf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boris Seidl in the 68th minute of play. Paul Heyckendorf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvis Töpfer, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Hugó Bøss replaced Joachim Kretschmer. The Academica Pulheim supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Academica Pulheim would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
