An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattias Hilger in the 2nd minute of play forced Borussia Ostermoordorf's goalkeeper Burkhard Kofler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Robert Fränkel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Burkhard Kofler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lu Sang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Give Peace a Chance's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Werner Zernicke in the 14th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hanjo Cyrkel got free with Bruno Untermann in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mattias Hilger in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Burkhard Kofler saved Borussia Ostermoordorf from getting behind. Burkhard Kofler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lu Sang in the 29th minute of the match. Bruno Untermann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Jensen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Give Peace a Chance's Bruno Untermann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Jensen in the 35th minute of play. After 44 played minutes Borussia Ostermoordorf got a freekick which was hit by Robert Fränkel. In the 44th minute Lu Sang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Burkhard Kofler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mattias Hilger to strike the kick off in the second half. When Give Peace a Chance's Werner Zernicke in the 50th minute got a chance for a shot 50th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in Give Peace a Chance's zone, Sandor Borchert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Untermann came out of the goal and Sandor Borchert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mattias Hilger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonid Junginger hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Mattias Hilger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Burkhard Kofler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Burkhard Kofler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lu Sang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Untermann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Jensen, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Give Peace a Chance walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
