An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimar Reinauer in the 11th minute of play forced FC 08 Brühl's goalkeeper Connor Gebert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Padro Cambero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Adriano Tolin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adriano Tolin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl Marx in the 18th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Padro Cambero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Tolin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, FC 08 Brühl's goal looked a bit too open when Raimar Reinauer came free, but Connor Gebert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Connor Gebert didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matthieu Richardot went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Connor Gebert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthieu Richardot in the 26th minute of play. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Adriano Tolin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berthold Brecht in the 61st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norberto Kekez during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of DJK Füchtel Vechta booed when FC 08 Brühl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Kekez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Connor Gebert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthieu Richardot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC 08 Brühl's Connor Gebert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthieu Richardot in the 72nd minute of play. Adriano Tolin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched DJK Füchtel Vechta eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
