When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Don Merlot put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sepp Meier. SC Night Cats's Sepp Meier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save SC Night Cats from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute SC Night Cats were awarded a corner. Ulises Pagomari went to the cornerflag to take it. When Niclas Monschke came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the SSV Ulm 1846 fans jumped to their feet. Niclas Monschke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sepp Meier having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, SC Night Cats's goal looked a bit too open when Niclas Monschke came free, but Sepp Meier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SSV Ulm 1846 fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Night Cats had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
