Octavian Basten started the match with the kick off. Uwe Ziege showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leroy Kluttig in the 2nd minute of the match. Hector Todor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uwe Ziege having to interfere. Ovidio Ritchie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavian Basten in the 6th minute of play. In the 6th minute of the match, Octavian Basten tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ovidio Ritchie saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Haupt in the 7th minute of play forced PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper Ovidio Ritchie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lukas Goretzka, 9 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ovidio Ritchie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anestis Kotsopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hector Todor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hector Todor in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Uwe Ziege saved Rot-Weiss-Essen from getting behind. Uwe Ziege made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Todor in the 22nd minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, PoWer SC 2K5's Hector Todor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Uwe Ziege made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper Uwe Ziege, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ovidio Ritchie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugo Haupt in the 31st minute. Uwe Ziege made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Todor in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of PoWer SC 2K5 booed when Rot-Weiss-Essen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximilian Henning didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hector Todor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uwe Ziege having to interfere. Octavian Basten's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ovidio Ritchie firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Octavian Basten got free with Ovidio Ritchie in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 41 minutes into the match, PoWer SC 2K5's goal looked a bit too open when Octavian Basten came free, but Ovidio Ritchie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Haupt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Ovidio Ritchie made a huge save. Flavio Canal hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. In the 48th minute of the match Lukas Goretzka sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Uwe Ziege skillfully saved the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 67th minute, Anestis Kotsopoulos made a precise shot to the right of Ovidio Ritchie. PoWer SC 2K5's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. When Rot-Weiss-Essen's Hugo Haupt in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PoWer SC 2K5's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavian Basten in the 72nd minute of play forced PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper Ovidio Ritchie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PoWer SC 2K5's Ovidio Ritchie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Haupt in the 73rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Leroy Kluttig managed to get in a good position for a shot. PoWer SC 2K5's supporters rose to their feet, but Leroy Kluttig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uwe Ziege breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the game, PoWer SC 2K5's Hector Todor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Uwe Ziege made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Hector Todor struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Uwe Ziege didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PoWer SC 2K5. Uwe Ziege showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Todor in the 92nd minute of the match. Mesut Özil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Ritchie having to interfere.
