FC Blue Twister Liberec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Milan Vrbík was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jesper Van Landschoot hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, SK Slavia Bohnice's goalkeeper Bobby Axelrod had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arman Bryngelsson. The supporters of FC Blue Twister Liberec booed when SK Slavia Bohnice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanislav Konvalinka didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Carlos Messi in the 36th minute of play forced SK Slavia Bohnice's goalkeeper Bobby Axelrod to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jiří Hasman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stanislav Konvalinka, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. SK Slavia Bohnice's Bobby Axelrod played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Carlos Messi in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stanislav Konvalinka to make the kick off. FC Blue Twister Liberec's Wojciech Rutecki was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bobby Axelrod in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
