Eric Păvăloae blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Färid Mondragón having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Păvăloae in the 3rd minute of play forced THE CRYSTAL SHIP's goalkeeper Färid Mondragón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 played minutes THE CRYSTAL SHIP got a freekick which was hit by Borys Dudek. In the 10th minute of the match Ninjas in Pyjamas got a corner. THE CRYSTAL SHIP's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ilie Răduleț ran over to the corner to take the kick. 14 minutes into the game, Ninjas in Pyjamas's Eric Păvăloae nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Färid Mondragón made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 16 minutes, Costin Cârneci mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ninjas in Pyjamas and the THE CRYSTAL SHIP players grew even worse after the yellow card. Färid Mondragón came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Ninjas in Pyjamas's Eric Păvăloae. But to his dismay, Eric Păvăloae quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Emil Gabor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebati Rafih, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 24 minutes into the match, THE CRYSTAL SHIP's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Păvăloae came free, but Färid Mondragón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emil Gabor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebati Rafih, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Ninjas in Pyjamas were awarded a corner. Ilie Răduleț went to the cornerflag to take it. 35 minutes into the match, Ninjas in Pyjamas's goal looked a bit too open when Sebati Rafih came free, but Emil Gabor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Alexandru Negreanu fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Färid Mondragón, passed just outside the right post. Douglas D Agostino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute Sebati Rafih shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Gabor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Douglas D Agostino made a kick off. Färid Mondragón stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eric Păvăloae's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Ninjas in Pyjamas's Eric Păvăloae nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Färid Mondragón made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. A collision led to Ninjas in Pyjamas getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Remus Pinatel hit a great ball. THE CRYSTAL SHIP made a substitution. Luca Dănilă replaced Douglas D Agostino. Remus Pinatel hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the match, THE CRYSTAL SHIP's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Păvăloae came free, but Färid Mondragón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. THE CRYSTAL SHIP's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Borys Dudek in the 83rd minute. The corner led to THE CRYSTAL SHIP's Marius Paulică getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After a rather tough play, Ninjas in Pyjamas's Andrei Cosor got a free kick in the 90th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Sebati Rafih notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Ninjas in Pyjamas's Emil Gabor. Emil Gabor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Iulian Bacalbașa took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emil Gabor. Emil Gabor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. THE CRYSTAL SHIP's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
