After some careless play in the LIVIUS UNITED MLS defense, Marian Maghiran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yanick Knecht. The LIVIUS UNITED MLS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yanick Knecht should have stopped the shot. In the 74th minute, Aydın Bilgiç hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 75 played minutes LIVIUS UNITED MLS got a freekick which was hit by Aydın Bilgiç. Yanick Knecht took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lionel-Andrés Messi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. LIVIUS UNITED MLS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
