Waldir Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, ABK Black Warriors73's goal looked a bit too open when Cássio Dracena came free, but Waldir Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cássio Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Gaúcho having to interfere. In the 16th minute Cássio Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bogdan Bogdanović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. After the first half Club 23 were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Sören Malmberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1.
