The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alexandria Team08's goalkeeper Radu Barbălată, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Minteuan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Péter Bánhegyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexandria Team08's Basarab Panciu got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manole Miulescu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Cristian Minteuan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 20th match minute, PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Çetin Temizalp to maneuver through the defense. Jedrzej Sanocki received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cristian Minteuan came out and tried to block the shot, but Jedrzej Sanocki slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 25th minute. Radu Barbălată took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bünyamin Toygar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Alexandria Team08's goal looked a bit too open when Konstanty Joks came free, but Radu Barbălată reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42ndth minute of the game Manole Miulescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN's Cristian Minteuan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manole Miulescu to strike the kick off in the second half. PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN's Konstanty Joks got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Liviu Găvănescu hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Péter Bánhegyi made a precise shot to the right of Cristian Minteuan. PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Radu Barbălată showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Florescu in the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Manole Miulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Minteuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Florescu in the 73rd minute of play forced Alexandria Team08's goalkeeper Radu Barbălată to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 minutes of play, Alexandria Team08's Basarab Panciu made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristian Minteuan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alexandria Team08 made a substitution. Zhou replaced Marin Dică. Alexandria Team08's Doctor Mugg was substituted for Manole Miulescu. Cristian Minteuan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doctor Mugg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexandria Team08's Zhou got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Minteuan came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Alexandria Team08's Doctor Mugg. But to his dismay, Doctor Mugg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Alexandria Team08's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
