Olimpiu Oncescu came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN's Liviu Găvănescu. But to his dismay, Liviu Găvănescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Olimpiu Oncescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Konstanty Joks in the 22nd minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Liviu Găvănescu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Olimpiu Oncescu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Olimpiu Oncescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Florescu in the 27th minute of the match. In the 31st minute Horia Savu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olimpiu Oncescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olimpiu Oncescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Konstanty Joks in the 33rd minute of the match. Olimpiu Oncescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liviu Găvănescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remus Tilincă hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Stoicii's goal looked a bit too open when Konstanty Joks came free, but Olimpiu Oncescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Remus Tilincă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stoicii's Olimpiu Oncescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Florescu in the 46th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liviu Găvănescu in the 47th minute of play forced Stoicii's goalkeeper Olimpiu Oncescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudiu Popescu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN were awarded a corner. Liviu Găvănescu went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 57th minute, Edgar Florescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Olimpiu Oncescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bünyamin Toygar in the 61st minute of the match. In the 79th match minute, Stoicii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matei Marioara to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 80 minutes, Edgar Florescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Florescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Olimpiu Oncescu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With an all-out effort, PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN's Olimpiu Oncescu threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edgar Florescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Olimpiu Oncescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Florescu in the 89th minute of play.
