In the 5th match minute, Balaceanu UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorin Zăreanu to maneuver through the defense. After 8 played minutes FC Brink got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Otsoa. Iustinian Burdujan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pompiliu Zmărăndescu having to interfere. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Roch Bury sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute, Balaceanu UFC's Dorin Zăreanu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Dorin Orghidan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Răzvan Mumuleanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dorin Zăreanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Pompiliu Zmărăndescu made a huge save. Iustinian Burdujan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 32 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Otsoa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Brink's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Balaceanu UFC the free kick. A collision led to FC Brink getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Wilfredo Otsoa hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Iustinian Burdujan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balaceanu UFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Iustinian Burdujan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, FC Brink's Pompiliu Zmărăndescu got control of the ball when Roch Bury tried to sneak it across the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

FC Brink's Pompiliu Zmărăndescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Arnalt in the 51st minute of play. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustinian Burdujan in the 54th minute of play. If Răzvan Mumuleanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Iustinian Burdujan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Iordache Isăilă kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Marcu Tomoioagă took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pompiliu Zmărăndescu. FC Brink's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Waldemar Mule charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Waldemar Mule the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Waldemar Mule hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorin Zăreanu in the 66th minute of play forced FC Brink's goalkeeper Pompiliu Zmărăndescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute of the match FC Brink got a corner. Balaceanu UFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Iulian Udrescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Iulian Udrescu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Balaceanu UFC's Dorin Orghidan did a great save. In the 94th minute, Călin Macrea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 95 minutes, Dorin Zăreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balaceanu UFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorin Zăreanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
