The tension between the U Craiova and the The Owls players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 2nd minute, Avram Blaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gino Galante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gino Galante in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nae Pavel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ştefan Stârcea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Jan-Åke Emander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Gino Galante dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nae Pavel, 1-0. Gino Galante might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nae Pavel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gino Galante ran back to his position shaking his head. Gino Galante could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Nae Pavel made a huge save. Dănuț Lupu hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After 19 minutes of play, The Owls's Gino Galante made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nae Pavel was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of U Craiova booed when The Owls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyprian Karp didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Gino Galante put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Nae Pavel. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Gino Galante sped through U Craiova's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nae Pavel. After a rather tough play, The Owls's Corneliu Fox got a free kick in the 31st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gino Galante in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nae Pavel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gino Galante's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nae Pavel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Gino Galante put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Nae Pavel. Gino Galante could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Nae Pavel made a huge save. The Owls's Jan-Åke Emander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isac Goșa in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Isac Goșa made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, U Craiova's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Furdui came free, but Nae Pavel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan-Åke Emander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isac Goșa, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. If Gino Galante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. U Craiova's Nae Pavel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubarna Harroyo in the 59th minute of play. Nae Pavel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubarna Harroyo in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute The Owls were awarded a corner. William Creemers went to the cornerflag to take it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ubarna Harroyo in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nae Pavel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Gino Galante put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Nae Pavel. In the 73rd minute Cristian Furdui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nae Pavel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th match minute, U Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciprian Minteuan to maneuver through the defense. Nae Pavel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gino Galante in the 75th minute of the match. U Craiova's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ubarna Harroyo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 11-0. After some careless play in the U Craiova defense, William Creemers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nae Pavel. The U Craiova fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nae Pavel should have stopped the shot. The Owls walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
