With his leg Nae Pavel managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Milan Futuro's Ciprian Eniceicu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of U Craiova:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Milan Futuro:s goal. In the 32nd minute, Ciprian Eniceicu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 38th minute, Ciprian Eniceicu made a precise shot to the right of Nae Pavel. U Craiova's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Sabin Macovei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nae Pavel having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Emil Sângeorzan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nae Pavel was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game.
