POLI TIMISOARA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ganjar Prabowo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to Buffalo Timişoara getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. João Francisco Britto hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the match, Buffalo Timişoara's Ganjar Prabowo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mihai Domuță narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 13 minutes of play, Buffalo Timişoara's Ganjar Prabowo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mihai Domuță was left in no man's land by his defense there! Valentin Lemnaru blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mihai Domuță having to make a save. 23 minutes into the game, Nicu Nichitelea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Hunor Csapó was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ganjar Prabowo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Buffalo Timişoara's Pavel Chibulcutean got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute of the match Filip Buculeasa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hunor Csapó showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hunor Csapó made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Jarbas Prestes sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Ganjar Prabowo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mihai Domuță was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jarbas Prestes got free with Hunor Csapó in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Buffalo Timişoara were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jarbas Prestes made a kick off. Hunor Csapó took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarbas Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pavel Chibulcutean's late challenge caught a POLI TIMISOARA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pavel Chibulcutean helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of POLI TIMISOARA booed when Buffalo Timişoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavel Chibulcutean didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ganjar Prabowo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Mihai Domuță made a huge save. POLI TIMISOARA made a substitution. Taha Tanbek replaced Eduard Zgabei. If Mei Yi Xi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Buffalo Timişoara's Cornel Timofte was substituted for Arnulfo Marino. In the 74th match minute, POLI TIMISOARA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filip Buculeasa to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Taha Tanbek in the 75th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Buffalo Timişoara's Valentin Lemnaru. The crowd rose to their feet as Buffalo Timişoara's Ionică Buculeasa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mihai Domuță. That made the score 1-4 after 85 minutes of play. When the final whistle went the supporters of Buffalo Timişoara were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant POLI TIMISOARA side.
