Silviu Popan came out of the goal and Dudu Georgescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silviu Popan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciprian Alexe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciprian Alexe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silviu Popan having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Niculae Şantău shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silviu Popan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niculae Şantău sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Minerul Baita -MM-'s Niculae Şantău got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Minerul Baita -MM-'s Dudu Georgescu in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The wind increased when Silviu Hagi made the kick off in the second half. Silviu Popan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dudu Georgescu in the 51st minute. Silviu Popan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dudu Georgescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Dudu Georgescus short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Silviu Popan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 69 minutes into the match, YR☆ACADEMIA CRISTY-TEAM's Liviu Stamate sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nistor Maghiar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Silviu Popan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dudu Georgescu's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Minerul Baita -MM- made a substitution. Cédric Payen replaced Ciprian Alexe. When Dan Bogdan fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Minerul Baita -MM-'s protests and gave Dan Bogdan a yellow card for diving instead. After 77 played minutes Minerul Baita -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Dan Bogdan. The audience was convinced that Allan Shearer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silviu Popan was relentless in the 79th minute of the game.
