Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Patrik De Roost managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Vlad Tepes in the 3 minute of the game. A collision led to Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Fábio Vieira hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the match, Minerul Baita -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Mei came free, but Nistor Maghiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nistor Maghiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Mei in the 9th minute of the match. Minerul Baita -MM-'s Nistor Maghiar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Minerul Baita -MM- from getting a goal against them. 17 minutes into the match, Minerul Baita -MM-'s goalkeeper Nistor Maghiar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mihăiţă Stolniceanu. Lyle Coppack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niculae Şantău in the 19th minute of play. Carlos Mei took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nistor Maghiar. Nistor Maghiar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With a little luck, Minerul Baita -MM-'s Nistor Maghiar got control of the ball when Carlos Mei tried to sneak it across the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Minerul Baita -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Mei came free, but Nistor Maghiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Carlos Mei reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nistor Maghiar. The goal made the score 2-0. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's attentive Patrik De Roost managed to snatch the ball when Vlad Tepes made a throw-in in the 29th minute of the game. In the 30th minute, Carlos Mei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nistor Maghiar was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Nistor Maghiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Mei in the 34th minute of the match. Carlos Mei succeeded in the game's 42nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

A throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game was made by Vlad Tepes with Dudu Georgescu as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 53 minutes into the match, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goalkeeper Lyle Coppack had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dudu Georgescu. 57 minutes into the match, Carlos Mei had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nistor Maghiar. Minerul Baita -MM-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Mei was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Mei in the 61st minute of play forced Minerul Baita -MM-'s goalkeeper Nistor Maghiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niculae Şantău in the 62nd minute of play forced Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goalkeeper Lyle Coppack to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Niculae Şantău notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Lyle Coppack. Lyle Coppack was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66th minute Luiz Fábio Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nistor Maghiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lyle Coppack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciprian Alexe in the 67th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ediberto de Queirós in the 70th minute of play forced Minerul Baita -MM-'s goalkeeper Nistor Maghiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Minerul Baita -MM- defense, Carlos Mei kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nistor Maghiar. The Minerul Baita -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nistor Maghiar should have stopped the shot. Minerul Baita -MM- made a substitution. Allan Shearer replaced Dudu Georgescu. Minerul Baita -MM-'s Cédric Payen was substituted for Ciprian Alexe. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely made a substitution. Lars Flinck replaced Ediberto de Queirós. 78 minutes into the game, Vlad Tepes threw the ball into play from the sideline. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Fábio Vieira quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Felix Ferenț managed to get in a good position for a shot. Minerul Baita -MM-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Ferenț was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lyle Coppack breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nistor Maghiar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Mei's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Minerul Baita -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Mei came free, but Nistor Maghiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Vlad Tepes in the 89th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Patrik De Roost. In the 91st minute of the game Vlad Tepes made a throw-in which Niculae Şantău played forward. In the 97th minute of the match Minerul Baita -MM- got a corner. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felix Ferenț ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the referee ended the match the Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
