Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) FC Luck's Sever Patriciu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hector Grabiel got a throw-in 4 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Petrică Cândreanu. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilson Arósio in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roch Cieslak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roch Cieslak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orçun Yalınalp in the 10th minute of play. After 12 played minutes FC Luck got a freekick which was hit by Pavel Logofătu. FC Luck's Roch Cieslak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Arósio in the 13th minute of play. When Pavel Logofătu fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Luck's protests and gave Pavel Logofătu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Luck getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Pavel Logofătu hit a great ball. Roch Cieslak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zenon Galagan in the 18th minute of the match. Roch Cieslak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orçun Yalınalp's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. After some careless play in the FC Luck defense, Eric Luican kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roch Cieslak. The FC Luck fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roch Cieslak should have stopped the shot. In the 25th minute Qian Chao Tian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roch Cieslak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gigel Horhoianu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Roch Cieslak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Orçun Yalınalp came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the FC UNIREA Alba Iulia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orçun Yalınalp couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the match, FC Luck's goal looked a bit too open when Orçun Yalınalp came free, but Roch Cieslak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute Orçun Yalınalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roch Cieslak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orçun Yalınalp in the 40th minute of play forced FC Luck's goalkeeper Roch Cieslak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narcis Voinescu got free with Baldomiro Txindoki in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 44 played minutes FC Luck got a freekick which was hit by Claudiu Arotăriței. 45 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Petrică Cândreanu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of FC Luck booed when FC UNIREA Alba Iulia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Jordy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orçun Yalınalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roch Cieslak having to interfere. Baldomiro Txindoki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narcis Voinescu in the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to FC Luck getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Pavel Logofătu hit a great ball. Narcis Voinescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Baldomiro Txindoki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eric Luican scored 0-3 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roch Cieslak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 77th minute Sever Patriciu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomiro Txindoki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Luck's zone, Qian Chao Tian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roch Cieslak came out of the goal and Qian Chao Tian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roch Cieslak made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Qian Chao Tian sent off a good shot on target. A nice corner shot did that Orçun Yalınalp got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Roch Cieslak quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narcis Voinescu in the 95th minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Baldomiro Txindoki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
