Olimpiu Hârlău showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustaquio Bartuelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. With his leg Ion Chificeac managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Carpathian Wolves's Avram Panaiteanu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 5 minutes into the game, João Francisco Moura was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alex Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carpathian Wolves the free kick. João Francisco Moura hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 6 minutes into the game, Avram Panaiteanu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ion Chificeac. Avram Panaiteanu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With a little luck, Alex Team's Ion Chificeac got control of the ball when Avram Panaiteanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Balamir Kotuzhan hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute of the match, Avram Panaiteanu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ion Chificeac was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 15 minutes in the game, Avram Panaiteanu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ion Chificeac having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Alex Team's goal looked a bit too open when Timo Thorstein came free, but Ion Chificeac reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Avram Panaiteanu got free with Ion Chificeac in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Carpathian Wolves booed when Alex Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustav Bianca didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Alex Team defense, Avram Panaiteanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ion Chificeac. The Alex Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ion Chificeac should have stopped the shot. Alex Team's Ion Chificeac played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergiu Oloieru in the 26th minute of play. Mihnea Ionițoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ion Chificeac having to interfere. Asmus Wesseltoft's late challenge caught a Carpathian Wolves's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Asmus Wesseltoft helped the player get up and apologised. Asmus Wesseltoft hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Benny Beckenbauer made a precise shot to the right of Ion Chificeac. Alex Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Carpathian Wolves's Mihnea Ionițoiu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ion Chificeac. That made the score 4-0 after 37 minutes of play. Olimpiu Hârlău showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustaquio Bartuelo in the 40th minute of the match. After 41 minutes Carpathian Wolves's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cornel Bodiu who took care of the corner kick. Alex Team's Ion Chificeac played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timo Thorstein in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timo Thorstein in the 46th minute of play forced Alex Team's goalkeeper Ion Chificeac to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Olimpiu Hârlău took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 김 즙, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cornel Bodiu came free with the goalkeeper in the 61st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Olimpiu Hârlău could save by the left post. When Carpathian Wolves's Avram Panaiteanu in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alex Team's goalie prevented a goal. David Trăistaru kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. With his leg Olimpiu Hârlău managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Alex Team's Eustaquio Bartuelo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihnea Ionițoiu in the 78th minute of play forced Alex Team's goalkeeper Ion Chificeac to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carpathian Wolves made a substitution. Moise Pandele replaced Henry Eklund. Ion Chificeac showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihnea Ionițoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timo Thorstein in the 89th minute of play forced Alex Team's goalkeeper Ion Chificeac to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, Carpathian Wolves's Moise Pandele seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Moise Pandele the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Carpathian Wolves protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Moise Pandele had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Carpathian Wolves fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 92 minutes, Alex Team's Cornel Bodiu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Olimpiu Hârlău. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Carpathian Wolves fans cheered their team off the field, for while Alex Team had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
