The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Narcis Dragalina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corneliu Vulpăşin having to interfere. When Petrică Ţirpescu came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Unicorns ™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petrică Ţirpescu couldn't finish the play. Corneliu Vulpăşin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gheorghe Şerbănoiu in the 18th minute of play. Corneliu Vulpăşin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiberiu Huștea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silviu Miron charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silviu Miron the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Unicorns ™ booed when Simared -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silviu Miron didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rareș Papadima in the 43rd minute of play forced Simared -MM-'s goalkeeper Ernest Cazimir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rareș Papadima hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Tudor Bodea made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Unicorns ™'s zone, Silviu Miron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corneliu Vulpăşin came out of the goal and Silviu Miron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernest Cazimir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rareș Papadima in the 52nd minute of play. Unicorns ™'s Corneliu Vulpăşin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gheorghe Şerbănoiu in the 54th minute of play. Ştefan Vâtcă hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 55th match minute, Simared -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silviu Miron to maneuver through the defense. Rareș Papadima's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernest Cazimir read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. After 60 played minutes Unicorns ™ got a freekick which was hit by Iacob Surdu. In the 64th minute, Ştefan Vâtcă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernest Cazimir was left in no man's land by his defense there! Unicorns ™'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
